DONATIONS MADE TO IDAHO HORSE RESCUE ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE

The fastest way to help is to donate money. IHR constantly receives calls and emails about horses in need of rescue; many are in dire condition and need immediate care. 

IHR is funded entirely by individual donations, private and corporate trusts, and charitable foundations.  It costs a great deal of money to rescue these horses, and we depend on the generosity of people like you to be able to continue this work. Every donation is crucial, no matter how small.

There are many ways in which you can help the rescued horses at IHR.

MAKE A ONE-TIME DIRECT DONATION

You can choose to make a one-time donation to IHR. Donations are made securely with PayPal.

MAKE A RECURRING DONATION

You can choose to make a recurring monthly donation to IHR. Donations are made securely with PayPal.

COMPANY MATCH GIVING

Does your company have a matching funds policy for employees’ donations to charitable organizations? If so, take advantage of this option and check with your HR department!

SPONSER A HORSE

You can sponsor a specific horse and recieve updates as the horse is rehabilitated and rehomed. Other donors choose to sponsor a horse in memory of their own, or another’s, beloved equine. Some donors give in a loved one's name for a birthday, anniversary, or a special occasion instead of traditional gifts. Email admin@idahohorserescue.org if you are interested. 

DONATE IN KIND

Donate horse-related items to IHR. These horses arrive at the rescue with nothing. If you have items to donate, call us at 208-938-2358 or send an email to admin@idahohorserescue.org . You can give to any of the horses or specify which horse you’d like to provide for. Below is a list of common items needed at the rescue:

• Senior feed! Purina Senior Feed is our preferred brand
• Horse fencing, panels, and gates (12×6 ft Arena Panels)
• Round pen
• Straw (during winter months)
• Sand
• Easy hoof boots; sizes 2, 3 & 4
• Manure/Muck cart with removable bin
• Manure Spreader
• Truckload – Road Mix
• Truckload – Sand
