Ryat's Landing 2017

JD and Ryat were rescued from a mountain in Donnelly, Idaho during the winter of 2017.  They had been abandoned there for a few years before we were able to rescue them, and it was extra challenging because they were so feral by the time we were involved that tranquilizers and a helicopter were needed to remove them from the mountain.

Running at the Ranch 2017

We live to see our horses happy and thriving.  This is just one brief example of the fun they have at our facilities.

Brandley's Tooth Extraction 2022

Aug. 4th 2022. Bradley is a 14 year old buckskin paint gelding, 16.2h.  He had to have a molar extracted due to an abscess.  This video shows only parts of the process. It took almost two hours to work that tooth out of his mouth. A pin-hole in the molar caused inflammation that was visible from the outside of his face.  He was well sedated throughout the entire process, and had local anesthetic to the nerves both inside and outside of his mouth.

Cheif and Sherman are two of our permanent reseidents. We have a sanctuary rate of 80%, that means the majority of the horses we take in will not be adoptable because of chronic issues from past abuse and neglect. Help us help them by donating today.
